Our "Barbro" engagement ring is contoured to fit with the hand and resist turning. Seen from above, it is very narrow with a knife edge ring shank. Seen from the side, it reveals its solid shape with the prongs curving up to add motion to the lines. The ring shank curves to fit with the contour at the base of the finger. It widens underneath the finger to add weight and friction combining with the contour to help keep the ring from turning. This design is available in different setting heights.

"Birgitta" is a reversal of the "Brita" design. The bezel side of the setting is toward the middle finger with the prongs toward the little finger. The shank of the ring is comfortably contoured to diminish any turning which saves the setting from wear. Underneath, the ring shank curves into the crease at the base of the finger and has width and weight to further enhance the non-turning design. The ring design itself is what holds the stone(i.e. there is no head soldered in.) This allows for a very solid and lasting setting. Generally, the simple yet interesting lines together with the fire of the diamond make a ring that is more beautiful than a ring of an overly plain design where the diamond alone is doing all of the work. Another feature worth noting is that here, as with most of our designs, you get the significant design already in the engagement ring.

The medium and high versions better display the curving motion of the prongs. The prongs sweep up in a centered bypass design. "Erika" is a channel type setting for a diamond. It is more curved than, but not unlike, the Erik design with a diamond. Our "Galaxy" design is our modern take on a bypass ring, which is a style where the band embraces the stone on either side and forms a seat for it. The "Hedvig" design is a simple, solid straight band with the diamond set in a pillar-like setting. Hedvig's pillar-like setting has an architectural appearance. The setting is as wide as the band, the width being dictated by the diameter of the stone. Worn with the wedding band, this set gives the appearance of a traditional Swedish wedding set which consists of two bands. The pillar-like setting adds interest without detracting from the beauty of the stone. This flat band has edges which are buffed to slightly round them. This version of the ring is plain and polished. See the Hedvig textured design to see a variation of this design. On the plain version, the setting is made slightly low, whereas on the texture it is made higher. Of course, the height of the setting can be varied according to your preference.
